I dabble in many arts, the most time-consuming being my job as an instrumentation specialist for the experimental nuclear physics group of the university's physics department. It means I design, build, and test research instruments when not busy keeping the computers happy and fixing the particle accelerator in the basement. I must admit it has it's moments, but I'd rather be devoting more time to climbing rocks, playing guitar, keyboard, or saxophone, composing, reading, writing, programming computers, planning activities for the unitarian universalist young adult network, researching astrophysics, petting my industrious cats Applet and Midi, dancing at the Inferno or in my living room to DDR, attending concerts, canoeing in the boundary waters wilderness area, hiking, biking, swimming, skating, skiing, building houses in DC or big top tents in La Jolla or peace gardens in Manderson... and if nothing else, snuggling up next to a good friend.
